This product makes delicious healthy burgers that are high in plant proteins and have a delicious nutty flavour- without the nuts.
Lemon Myrtle is a native Australian herb that is very crisp in flavour and pairs perfectly with pepper to compliment your chosen vegetables.
Method
- Simply add the packet mixture in a large bowl with enough water to allow you to form balls with the mixture.
- Always set aside for about 5 minutes, because you may need to add a little more water once it has absorbed into the beautiful organic mixture.
- While the mixture is resting grate or finely chop about 4 cups of vegetables. Carrots, zucchini, onion, cabbage, pumpkin, beetroot, corn, peas, broccoli…whatever you have will do the job. If you only have a packet of frozen vegetables, then add them in too, just make sure they are small pieces.
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly and then form into burger sized patties.
- Rest again and then place in an oiled pan on a medium heat until cooked through.
This mixture is also a great crumble style topping on a vegetable bake - just mix with water and form a crust over the vegetable layers before baking.
