This is our signature recipe. Our unique recipe enables you to create the perfect flavour and texture and all you have to do is add water, shape the balls and then shallow fry or deep fry in a good quality organic oil.
This packet will make approximately 30 x 16g falafels.
Ingredients: chick peas, wheat grain, wheat flour, soya beans, coriander, pepper, salt bi-carb, turmeric, cumin, chilli.
Method:
- Mix the contents of this packet with cold water to form a damp dough.
- Rest for 10 minutes.
- Add more water if mixture is too dry, then squeeze/roll into egg shaped rissoles before frying in hot oil 180˚C until firm.
- As a general rule add ¾ cup of water to every 1 cup of mix.
This is a delightful mixture can also be used to coat chicken, fish and to shallow fry in a good quality organic oil.
To use as a stuffing for chicken lamb pork or beef, Add approximately 250 ml of water, 1 finely sliced onion, ½ cup of slivered almonds and ½ cup dried apricots or currants.
